All New X-Men #40 is Emptying Out the Closet

In the printed Marvel Universe, there are some big changes coming about in tomorrow's issue of All New X-Men #40.  This is for a couple of reasons.  First, write Brian Michael Bendis will be finishing his run in the series.  While doing so he is going out with a big bang. **!!Spoiler Alert!!**

Now the second reason why All New X-Men #40 will be coming in with a ruckus is because one our long time heroes will be making their way out the closet, so-to-speak.  In tomorrow's issue we find out that the Iceman, or Bobby Drake, will come out and state that he is a homosexual. To some it may not be a surprise. This comes from allegedly leaked pages from tomorrow's issue.  It dawns to Bobby Drake about his sexuality when having a deep discussion with Jean Grey.  In the series, we know that Bobby finds his older self in the future and can't see that he is in deed gay.  To his own opinion, he may be bi-sexual. Though Jean feels differently stating, "more... full gay."

The X-Men's long standing metaphor has been that they are segregated and discriminated against because they are mutants, different.  That's why I'm not so surprised this is happening more and more in recent years.  Let's definitely pick this one up tomorrow!
